After scintillating clashes in the longer version of the game, both the sides set to lock horns in the ODI format of the game. Usually, 35,000 people are expected for the first ODI in Sydney but with Virat Kohli having a fine record in the venue, the sub-continent fans might push themselves for the stadiums to break the record.

As Virat Kohli delivered match-winning knock in the T20I game, the sub-continent love to the game might increase the crowd presence from 35,000 to 40,000. This would be record-breaking ODI crowd for the Sydney Cricket Stadium.

Another major factor has been the weather forecast. Though there are heavy rains in the city, the weather forecast for the match day has been brilliant. It would certainly help the crowd to make their way to the stadiums to witness the eye feast.

Last summer the SCG attracted 35,195 one-day fans, who watched England’s Jos Buttler tonk an unbeaten 100 to lead his side to a 16-run victory. The biggest attendance was against England in 2014 when 37,823 supporters watched David Warner and Shaun Marsh deliver a comfortable win.

I feel I perform to my best – Adam Zampa

Meanwhile, it is a homecoming for Adam Zampa. He expressed his thoughts on playing at home and bowling against Virat Kohli, who played brilliantly in the recent T20I game. Adam Zampa is the certain starter for Australia in the first ODI.

“I’ll be playing in front of the family which is a nice thing, but hopefully we’re the winning side,” Zampa said.  It’s hard to treat [Kohli] as any other batsmen because of what they can do, but I think when guys do perform at their best I feel like I perform at my best. I’m relaxed and not really thinking about who’s standing there,” Zampa said.

Well, it would be interesting to see how the crowd would turn out for the upcoming ODI games. After the hard fought Test series, the limited overs drama would be a visual feast for the spectators.
