Indian National Cricket team entered into the record books when they registered their first-ever series win Down Under. Virat Kohli & Co harboured intentions of taking the series 3-1 going into the final day of the Sydney Test. They needed 10 Australian wickets to make that happen, but the umpires called off the play without a single ball played. Following their win, Anushka Sharma wrote on social media posts that he is proud of her love, Kohli.

The visitors came into this Sydney Test leading the series 2-1 and just needed a draw to seal the Test series. Although they were in the line of winning this game, the rain played a spoilsport.

India dominated the proceedings in the final Test after winning the first and the third Test. Riding on Cheteshwar Pujara’s 193 and Rishabh Pant’s 159*, India posted a mammoth 622 for 7 before declaring. A Kuldeep Yadav-inspired show had Australia bowled out for 300, as the left-arm wrist-spinner claimed five wickets in his very first outing on Australian soil. Virat Kohli enforced a follow-on soon after as he was keen to go for another victory Down Under. However, the umpires had to call off the day’s play early due to bad light and play never resumed thereafter.

Following their series victory, Anushka Sharma took to social media to congratulate the team and her husband Virat Kohli.

They came. They conquered !! History written and created by this bunch !! Huge congratulations to all players, coaching unit and support staff,” Anushka Sharma wrote.

In another tweet, she penned her love for the Indian National Cricket team skipper and husband Virat Kohli.
