Indian National Cricket team skipper Virat Kohli extended his support for the ‘Pink Test’ by using bat and gloves with a pink tinge on it during the fourth and final Test at Sydney Cricket Ground on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the SCG has been hosting the ‘Pink Test’ as the New Year Test to support the McGrath Foundation since 2009 in remembrance of Glenn McGrath’s late wife, Jane McGrath. The former pacer’s foundation is a breast cancer support and education charity in Australia that raises money to increase awareness about it.

The money raised throughout the Pink Test goes towards supporting the Foundation in placing specialist McGrath Breast Care Nurses wherever they are needed – across Australia, for free.

Virat Kohli graced the SCG after the departure of Mayank Agarwal in the 34th over. The talismanic run-scorer sported a bat which had a pink MRF sticker and a pink handle along with gloves which had a dash of pink on them. In addition to, there was a sea of pink on the opening day of the fourth and final Test. From the wickets to the boundary lines, everything was coloured pink to honour Jane McGrath’s memory and support breast cancer.
