Former Indian National Cricket team player Kris Srikkanth has hailed current skipper Virat Kohli saying that the latter is the best leader India have ever had. Meanwhile, Kohli became the first Indian skipper to win a Test series in Australia as they beat the host 2-1 in the Border-Gavaskar series.

Moreover, he also scored a match-winning century in the Adelaide Oval to level the ODI series 1-1. Following that knock, former Australia coach Darren Lehmann praised Kohli as the best batsman of the world. Kris Srikkanth lauded Virat Kohli for being a terrific kipper.

Reflecting back on his own days, Kris Srikkanth remembered the captainship of Kapil Dev which allowed India to win the 1983 world cup.

The country needs a leader who believes in himself and believes in the team and Kapil did it for us like Virat is doing for the youngsters nowadays,” Srikkanth said speaking at a Ministry of Statistics Event.
