India dominated the first session of the third day’s play in the ongoing third Test against Australia. The tourists took four wickets in the opening session to put their noses in front. Ishant Sharma was the first one to strike as the experienced bowled got the prized wicket of Aaron Finch. The Australian opener went for the flick and debutant Mayank Agarwal took a sharp catch while diving to his left.

Marcus Harris was the next to go when Jasprit Bumrah decided to bounce the greenhorn southpaw opener. Bumrah was accurate with his line and length and Harris decided to go for the pull shot with Ishant Sharma taking a simple catch at fine leg. In fact, it was a poor shot selection from the Aussie rookie opener as he was looking good at 22 runs.
