Australia has added the services of Marnus Labuschagne for the fourth and final Test match against India at Sydney Cricket Ground. The hosts lost the third Test match at Melbourne Cricket Ground by 137 runs and trails in the series by 2-1. Thus, the visitors have retained the Border-Gavaskar trophy.

Marnus Labuschagne is a rookie all-rounder for Australia. As Mitchell Marsh failed to deliver the goods in the Boxing Day Test match, the South African-born player has been added to the 14-man squad. The rest of Australia’s squad will remain the same.

Australia will look to turn the tables.

Labuschagne has thus far played two Test matches in which he has scored 81 runs and has scalped seven wickets. The 24-year is a leg-break bowler and has a sound technique with the bat. Marnus Labuschagne made his Test debut against Pakistan in the two-match series in the UAE earlier in October.

Thus, the all-rounder will look to grab his opportunity with both hands if he is given his chance in the playing XI. Meanwhile, Australia will aim to turn the table in the final Test match at Sydney. The fourth match will begin from January 3.

India won the first Test match by 31 whereas Australia made a solid comeback to win the second by 146 runs. However, the hosts were outplayed by the potent Indian side in the third Test match.

Australia will like to find the right answers as the inexperience in their batting line-up is clearly palpable. The hosts captain Tim Paine has confirmed the addition of Marnus Labuschagne for the final Test match.

Here is Australia squad for the final Test match at Sydney:
