India’s opening batsman Murali Vijay is hopeful he can carry the same momentum with his opening partner KL Rahul, come the first Test match at Adelaide. Vijay and Rahul were able to put an opening alliance of 109 runs in the second innings of the drawn warm-up match. Thus, Vijay looks forward to keeping up the same impetus.

Vijay had scored a fine knock of 129 runs after he got the opportunity to bat because of Prithvi Shaw’s injury. The flamboyant right-hander was able to grab his chance with both hands as he got runs under his belt. Furthermore, KL Rahul also got his Midas Touch after he scored a decent inning of 62 runs. Consequently, the opening pair looks promising for the visitors.
