Though the analysts across the globe are coming hard on Australian batsmen, Nathan Lyon backed his young unit. Nathan Lyon feels that it was not the poor batting of Australia but the brilliance of Indian bowling attack. He showered words of praise on Indian bowling attack for their stunning show so far in the series.

The Indian bowlers have proved their mettle in the ongoing Test series against Australia. In the third Test, Jasprit Bumrah led India’s bowling attack to dismiss the hosts for paltry 151 runs in the first innings. While in the second innings, the hosts find themselves on the verge of another loss after being reduced to 258 for eight at stumps on Day 4.

One of the best Indian attacks I have ever seen – Nathan Lyon

Jadeja picked three wickets, while Bumrah and Shami picked two each and Ishant took one wicket, as Australia crumbled in pressure of chasing a stiff target on a difficult pitch.  Even Australia players were amazed by the Indian bowling arsenal and spinner Nathan Lyon gave his views on the same.

He backed his batsmen by saying that they are working pretty hard in the training sessions. Lyon feels that it is Indian bowlers brilliance, which is making survival hard for the Australian batsmen.

“I see how much hard work the guys are doing in the nets and in training. We know they are working hard and not going out to fail. They have all my support. We are up against a world-class bowling attack, one of the best Indian attacks I have ever seen. They are disappointed but I know how hard they are working. Success for them is around the corner,” Lyon said.

“Pat Cummins has been exceptional in this match and he keeps getting better every day. I enjoy batting with pat helps calm down my nerves and it was an exciting challenge. It was a pretty special knock from him,” he added.

Well, it would be interesting to see how Nathan Lyon and Pat Cummins cope up with Indian bowling attack on Day 5. Most probably, they would try themselves to create something special. On the other hand, India would hope no rain and two good balls to take unassailable lead.
