It is a complete mismatch between India and Australia, as far as the vibes in the respective boards are concerned. Cricket Australia is in all kinds of sorts, as they are still figuring out the best squad available in the country. On the other hand, it is the Indian board, who is ruling the world cricket with some quality cricket. Meanwhile, John Buchanan comes up with a surprise statement.

The former cricketer, who later took coaching role feels it won’t be much easy for the Indians to win the series in Australia. Despite the Australian squad is not in a great state, Buchanan predicts a toughly-contested series is on the way.

India has struggled to win in Australia – John Buchanan

John quoted the Indians have always found it difficult win against Australia, especially, in Down Under. He feels there won’t be much different this time as well. He hopes for a tough and entertaining series at the end of the year.

Further, he went on to speak on the current state of Australian board. John also highlighted the fact that cricket should be played in the right spirits despite having the ‘Win at any Cost’ attitude.

“India has struggled to win in Australia. Even though Australia seems vulnerable at the moment, very few teams travelling away these days are successful. It should be a very interesting series, tightly-contested at times, but I still expect Australia to prevail,” John Buchanan said, as per Ahmedabad Mirror.

“On the other hand, the women’s team goes from strength to strength which is no doubt an interesting reflection on the so-called ‘win at all cost’ culture that allegedly pervades everyone associated with Australian cricket. That is to say, they are winning in a way that is both entertaining, yet demonstrating the spirit of the game and sport concurrently,” he added.

Well, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out in the upcoming Test series. As Buchanan said, it might be the toughly-contested series, as Australians are always tough to beat at home, especially, in Test format of the game.
