Indian National Cricket Team registered a memorable win at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) as they won the game by 137 runs. They have managed to win the Boxing Day Test for the first time. Previously India lost the Boxing Day Test five times and managed to draw it two times in Australia. Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag applauds Virat Kohli’s men for their historic win over Australia on Sunday.

Boxing Day Tests have a very rich history in Australia. The Test, which starts a day after Christmas, sees a substantial cricket-crazy crowd at the MCG on the first day and that was the day when India stamped their authority of the Test. Indian debutant Mayank Agarwal put up a great show in the first innings of the game scoring his maiden half-century. With him, there were two other half-centurions – skipper Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Moreover, veteran Cheteshwar Pujara has been in sensational form who slammed his second century in the four-match Test series in the first essay of the MCG Test. But when it came to bowling, Jasprit Bumrah shone bright and how in just his debut year in Test cricket and ripped through the Australian batting line-up in the first innings. The pacer added yet another feather in his illustrious cap.

Furthermore, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag is delighted with the win. He showers praises on the entire cricket team and also mentions that India’s domestic cricket has brought up so many talented cricketers. The right-hander also feels that India will continue their excellent show in Sydney Test and will even win the series.
