Meanwhile, Vijay was one of the standout performers during the last tour of Australia in 2014-15. Vijay established himself as a reliable overseas batsman and since then has been an integral part of team India. However, he lost his place during the England tour owing to poor form and subsequently was out from the series against Windies.

However, before the series against Australia, Murali Vijay will feature for India A in a series against New Zealand. But Murali Vijay admitted that he is not overthinking about the prevailing conditions. Moreover, he said that he would try to be in the best shape possible ahead of the Australia series.
