”Team India are favourites”; it is the opinion of a certain section of people in upcoming Australia vs India 2018 series. The absence of Steven Smith and David Warner are one of the strong reasons behind it. However, the Team India skipper Virat Kohli and Co aren’t impressed with that tag, as they feel Australian side has got world-class players.
In a recent interview, most of the Indian players revealed they think Australians are the favourites in their personal opinion. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli makes his voice once again ahead of the Adelaide Test.
The Indian skipper quoted the current Australian side has got the skills to take away the game from the opposition. Further, he added there is no Australian team, who can be termed vulnerable, especially, in home conditions.
Furthermore, he spoke on Team India’s bowling unit, which has done exceptionally well in the recent past. Virat Kohli is hopeful of his bowlers doing well in the upcoming series, as they are in a pretty positive mindset.
“I personally don’t think any Australian side is vulnerable at home. You cannot take any side for granted. Whatever happened, the skill level is still there. However much you talk or behave, it’s your skill that counts. They still have the skill to dominate at home. We’re not taking anything for granted,” Virat Kohli quoted in Press conference.
“The guys (bowlers) feel that they are at the peak of their skill levels at the moment and they are looking forward to this challenge,” said Kohli. ”The bowlers are of the mindset that whatever the conditions or however hard it might be, they are just looking forward to performing.”
Well, as Virat Kohli said, you can’t term any Australian side as weak in their home conditions. They have got a great bunch of lads in their dugout, who can make the difference in the result on their day.
