Australian Cricket team fast bowler Pat Cummins shared high Indian National Cricket team saying that they showed why they are at the top of the ICC’s Test Rankings.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli & Co defeated the host by 137 runs at the MCG to go 2-1 up in the four-match series. They also recorded their first-ever Boxing Day Test win Down Under. Jasprit Bumrah starred with the ball as he returned with nine wickets including a six-wicket haul. Others also chipped in significant contributions with the ball.

The spirited effort in the MCG Test also saw Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma break the record for most wickets by a pace trio in a calendar year set by Windies greats Joel Garner, Malcolm Marshall and Michael Holding (130 wickets) in 1984. The much-talked-about India pace trio finished 2018 with 136 wickets after impressive showings in South Africa, England, and Australia.

With the bat, debutant Mayank Agarwal was spectacular in both the innings while Cheteshwar Pujara showed his class in the first essay. India will hope to continue this effort to win their first-ever series in Australia.

Pat Cummins, who was Australia’s only golden boy in the Test, shared high praise for the visitors. Despite agreeing that India were better at MCG, he was keen to turn it around at Sydney. Cummins bagged nine wickets in the match and scored a half-century but failed to bail his team out from the loss.

India were too good in Melbourne and showed why they are ranked #1. Desperate to turn it round in Sydney and I think 2-2 would be a great effort against a very good side. Can’t wait,” Pat Cummins tweeted.
