Whenever you used to think about a series against Australia in the past, the first name that comes to the mind is VVS Laxman, but now, it is the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli. The run-machine of India not only answered Australia with his performances but also with his words as well. Meanwhile, Michael Hussey wants Aussie bowlers to be patient with him.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli rose to the occasion in the series against Australia on the previous tour. He put on a show by knocking the runs more often than not despite dealing with the likes of Mitchell Johnson and Co.

However, the stylish southpaw asked the bowlers to play with patience and be disciplined for the longer periods to deal with Virat Kohli. Further, Hussey added he is sure they have got a plan to tackle him, but all he asks is for execution.

And also, Michael Hussey spoke on India’s tour of England, where team India displayed top-class cricket. Hussey went on to talk about the tough ball-tampering saga, which dented Australia dearly, across the formats.

“The Australians will prepare well against Kohli, but it comes down to execution. In my view the Aussies need to be incredibly patient and disciplined for long periods of time against a world class player like Kohli,” said the 43-year-old. “It’s a completely new series in completely different conditions. I think India played some brilliant cricket in England but unfortunately, the results didn’t go their way,” opined Hussey.

“It has been a tumultuous period for Australian cricket both on and off the field but I think the controversy is behind us now and everyone involved can just focus fully on the cricket. Australia will, of course, miss Warner, Smith and Bancroft,” he added.

Well, it would be interesting to see how Australian bowlers will cope up with Virat Kohli. From Indian skipper’s point of view, he wants to be at his best to get the first away series victory after a long time.
