India’s flamboyant batsman Rohit Sharma had a perfect reply for Australian skipper Tim Paine. The Australian wicketkeeper was tempting the Indian right-hander to go for a six. Paine said he was confused whether to support Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. Tim said he would support Mumbai Indians if Rohit Sharma hits a six at the massive ground of Melbourne.

However, Rohit Sharma didn’t fell into Tim Paine’s plan as he kept his focus intact. It was a crucial knock for Rohit Sharma to cement his place in the Test side. Consequently, India’s limited overs deputy batted with the gumption to score an unbeaten 63 and helped India in getting to 443 runs in their first innings.

Rohit Sharma comes up with a perfect reply.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma revealed he had a talk with Ajinkya Rahane at another end. Rohit said he would have a word with his boss at Mumbai Indians to buy Tim Paine if he scores a hundred in the ongoing Test match.

However, it wasn’t to be the case as Paine could only score 22 runs after facing 85 balls in the first innings.

“I was hearing that but when I’m batting I just focus on the job at hand. But I had a chat with Ajinkya Rahane and I joked that if he (Paine) gets a hundred here, I will put in a word about him to my boss at Mumbai Indians and we’ll buy him. Looks like he’s a fan of Mumbai,” Rohit said before the start of third day’s play in Melbourne.

Rohit Sharma would have received a lot of confidence after scoring a fine knock of 63 runs. His place in the Test side is always under the scrutiny and he would like to keep coming up with consistent performances.
