It seems like Shane Warne isn’t impressed with the show put on by Australia against Pakistan in the Test series. He has followed the series pretty closely and came up with his suggestions repeatedly during the two Tests. Meanwhile, Warne comes with the new set of players to take on India in the first Test back home. The flamboyant cricketer chose D’Arcy Short to open the innings alongside Aaron Finch in the Test match for Australia. Speaking of the Short’s inclusion, he cited David Warner, as the example for it.
D’Arcy Short is named in Shane Warne team for Australia:
Further, he left number 3, number 4 and number 5 slots vacant, as he wants Cricket Australia to take care of it. Interestingly, he brought the all-rounder Marcus Stoinis into the scheme of the things.
Meanwhile, he left out Marsh brothers after their poor show in the UAE. Surprisingly, the chief performer in the recently-concluded series Marnus Labuschagne is the missing name on the paper alongside Peter Siddle.
Shane Warne asked Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc to deliver the goods in the fast bowling alongside Nathan Lyon in the spin department. All in all, the bowling department looks pretty lethal.
His tweet read ”After a few days of deliberation, I’ve come up with these certainties for the 1st test back in Australia. 1 Finch
2 Short
3
4
5
6 Paine
7 Stoinis
8 Cummins
9 Starc
10 Lyon
11 Hazlewood
Re Short – Remember what people said about Warner before he played his 1st test!

All in all, it seems like Shane Warne has tallied all the concerns of the Australian team before revealing his side. With Usman Khawaja getting injured, it is possible that D’Arcy Short might get the look.
Coming to the schedule, Australia will lock horns against South Africa in their next assignment followed by the series against India across the formats.
