Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan applauds young Prithvi Shaw for his talent and also feels bad as he would miss the Adelaide Test for an ankle injury. The 19-year-old sustained an injury during the practice game against CA XI.

The incident happened during the third day of the four-day practice match against Cricket Australia XI. His pain could be felt by seeing Prithvi Shaw’s expression. Later he was carried off the field and then to the hospital for scans. However, it is doubtful whether he would able to play the first Test or not.

Recently, Prithvi Shaw scored a quick-fire 69-ball 66 runs in the practice game. Meanwhile, Shaw recently emerged into the Indian side when he played his first Test against the Windies in October. He had made some great footprint scoring his maiden hundred in his first match.

Furthermore, the fans had also reacted and shown their disappointment after Prithvi Shaw sustained an injury and ruled out of the Adelaide Test. For now, the right-hander will be undergoing an “intensive rehabilitation program” to recover for the forthcoming games at the earliest.

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan feels bad for young Prithvi Shaw. He said that it would be a shame for India if he misses the first Test. Vaughan also added that he would personally replace Shaw with Rohit Sharma at the top of the order. Sharma is still not a perfect player for Tests. He had shown some immense form in ODI cricket but has still a lot to do with the red-ball format.
