Australia vs India 2018: Twitter Bow Down to Cheteshwar Pujara for 17th Test Hundred
Updated - 27 Dec 2018, 08:18 AM
India’s talisman batsman Cheteshwar Pujara completed his 17th Test century in the ongoing Boxing Day Test match against Australia. Pujara played like he knows and took 280 balls to get to his ton. The right-hander scored 10 boundaries in his sublime knock. Pujara once again was patient in his approach as he took India into a commanding position with skipper Virat Kohli.
In fact, this is Pujara’s second hundred of the ongoing four-match series. The Saurashtra batsman had scored a fine century in the first innings of the first Test match at Adelaide. He had scored 123 runs in the opening innings. Furthermore, he backed it another good performance as he scored 71 in the second dig of the first Test match.
Pujara scores his second hundred of the series.
Thus, Pujara scored 194 runs in the opening Test match and was awarded the Man of the match for his heroic innings. Consequently, Pujara has thus far scored 325 runs in the ongoing series and he is the leading run-getter of the series.

Australia tried hard but could not get their first breakthrough on second Day’s play. The hosts had to toil hard as they beat the bat on some occasions whereas the ball didn’t carry to the slip cordon on other times.

Cheteshwar Pujara slams his 17th Test hundred, his first one at the 'G'. He's been India's best batsman on the tour so far.
Hope he makes it big this time.#AUSvIND

Days like these when all the sacrifice and coaching of his father Arvind and early practices at the the “Railways Parkland” must bring great great satisfaction to Cheteshwar Pujara and his family. 17th Test century. Solid as a rock??????.

Cheteshwar Pujara brings up his 100 in 280 deliveries. This is the first time he has taken over 250 balls to bring up a Test hundred.
Only Virat Kohli (289 balls v England in 2012 Nagpur Test) scored a slower Test ton among Indians than Pujara in the last 15 years. #AUSvIND

The hundred in England and the two hundreds in Australia. 2018 is as much about @cheteshwar1 as a Test batsman overseas. Well played.

@cheteshwar1 has played Lyon superbly, quick on his feet, judging length perfectly to either defend stoutly or use his bat like a rapier to drive on either side of the wicket.

Pujara? … Double hundred for the taking here! #AusvInd

Brilliant ? from @cheteshwar1 yet again. Second of the series and 17th overall. It's fair and wise to call him 'The poster boy' for Test Match cricket in India and the world. Classic textbook batsmanship. #AUSvIND
