Well, the aggressive Indian skipper Virat Kohli got the backing from the former Indian stars Zaheer Khan and Praveen Kumar. The duo wants Virat Kohli to continue the way he plays the game. Virat Kohli was recently criticised for his behaviour on the field by the Australian former cricketers but India’s former bowlers don’t want to make any switch.

The Indian skipper continued his banter with Australian skipper Tim Paine during the second Test at Perth. He was seen continuously involving in banter with Paine while he was at the crease and then gave aggressive send-offs to each player of their team.

You can’t move away from success formulae – Zaheer Khan

The stylish southpaw quoted that Virat Kohli should stick to his aggression. He believes that it is something, which gave him success over the years and should carry it despite any concerns off the field.

Meanwhile, the former fast bowler Praveen Kumar joined Zaheer Khan in asking Virat Kohli to stick with aggression. He believes that Virat Kohli can’t play the game at his best if he cut down his aggression in any format of the game.

”I would say (Virat) stick to what you know best. Stick to what has got you so much of success. You can’t move away from your success formula. It doesn’t matter what others are saying (about Kohli). Series in Australia have always been (intense) like this,” former pace spearhead Zaheer told PTI during the launch of Ferit Cricket Bash.

“Kohli played with aggression at the U-16, U-19 and Ranji Trophy level. What is the issue if he is showing the same aggression while playing for India? I have played a lot of cricket with him and I can safely say that he can’t play his best cricket without aggression,” said Kumar.

Well, as Indian analysts said, Virat Kohli needs to carry his character on the field despite all the other opinions off the field. It would be interesting to see how the Indian skipper will approach the upcoming game on Boxing Day.
