Australia vs India 2018: Watch - Australia Get Perfect Start as Nathan Lyon Dismiss Ajinkya Rahane

The hosts Australia could not have asked for a better start for day three of the ongoing Perth Test when Nathan Lyon dismissed Ajinkya Rahane. In fact, it was only the fourth ball of the day when Lyon drew Rahane into a forward defensive shot. However, the Indian vice-captain could only get a thick outside edge which was nicely taken by Australia’s captain Tim Paine.

Consequently, Rahane continued with his penchant of scoring fifties. In fact, this was Rahane’s fifth score of fifty which he didn’t convert to a hundred. Furthermore, the right-hander could not add any run to his overnight score of 51 runs.

Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli had come up with a fine alliance yesterday. Both of them started their innings in an aggressive manner and then cooled down as they progressed after settling in.

Kohli and Rahane had played some delightful shots on Day two as they had rescued India out of troubled waters. The visitors were 82-3 and a good partnership was the need of the hour.

The tourists will like to get in close proximity to Australia’s tally of 326 runs or even go beyond it to take a crucial lead in the first innings. Furthermore, the Indian tail will like to wag around and they should take a leaf out of Australia’s book.
