Australia’s premier fast bowler Mitchell Starc was able to get the better of Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Starc pampered Kohli with the short stuff. Kohli who had played a sedate knock till that point was in the mood to take on the fast bowler. The Indian skipper was able to get a boundary after pulling towards the long-on region. However, Kohli found Aaron Finch at the third man position when he guided a short ball straight to Australia’s opener.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli was struggling with a stiffed back before he decided to take on the attack to the Australian bowlers. In fact, Indian physio Patrick Farhart had also attended Virat Kohli.

Kohli had a stiffed back.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli made a fine knock of 82 runs and stitched a gargantuan alliance of 170 runs with Cheteshwar Pujara. It is generally noted that Kohli goes on to convert his fifty into a big hundred as he has a great conversion rate. However, it wasn’t to be the case in the first innings of the ongoing third Test match at MCG.
