The stage was set for Rohit Sharma when Cheteshwar Pujara was dismissed after scoring 71 runs. India had a healthy lead under their belt and it was a perfect chance for Sharma to get runs in his bag to raise his confidence. However, it wasn’t to be the case as India’s limited overs deputy was dismissed by Nathan Lyon. Rohit charged down the wicket but got bat on the ball after it hit his pad. Peter Handscomb who was standing at silly point took a sharp catch while diving to his right.

On the other hand, Ajinkya Rahane returned to form. India’s deputy scored his 16th half-century as he looked at ease. Rahane made good use of the feet to advance down the track. The right-hander came up with a fine display of drives as he looked at ease.
