India’s wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant took a good low catch to dismiss Australia’s captain Tim Paine. Pant dived to his right to get the gloves under the ball. Jasprit Bumrah was able to get the ball to move away to produce the outside edge of Paine. However, Pant had fluffed one chance when he dropped Pat Cummins when he was on just two runs.

Although, the bungled chance didn’t prove to be costly as Cummins was dismissed for 17 runs. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah was the chief destroyer of the Australian innings.

The talisman pacer took six wickets for only 33 runs to put Australia behind the eighth-ball. Ravindra Jadeja bagged two wickets whereas Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami took one wicket apiece.

Australia could only manage a paltry score of 151 in their first innings. Thus, the hosts conceded a first innings lead of 292 runs. India is currently leading by 320 runs and has put themselves in a dead cert.

Consequently, Bumrah will like to keep shinning like a star and he has done a terrific job. Surprisingly, India didn’t enforce the follow-on even after taking a massive lead of 292 runs in the first innings.
