Are Australia’s latest sorrows are good for team India or a pressure factor? In one case, it seems like the India team has got every chance to rewrite the records on their name. In another one, this could well be the pressure factor on the Virat Kohli-led unit. Meanwhile, the ace batsman Rohit Sharma makes his voice on the upcoming series.

The record books say India has never got enough success rate in Australia. They have always been close to victory, but never got the better of the Australians to bag a particular series to their name, especially, in Test format.

We want to make it count – Rohit Sharma

The vice-captain in shorter formats, Rohit quoted the team is pretty confident and wanting to make the things happen for India, this time. Further, the classy batsman spoke about the previous record of the Indian side Down Under.

He went on to add saying the Australian team has got lethal bowling attack, which would be a blessing for them. Further, he feels the upcoming series will be tightly-contested series.

“It’s the one place that we want to leave our mark and do well as a unit. The last time we played Test series here – although we lost two games and we drew one game – I thought there were a few close games being played. We want to make it count this time around.  There’s a really good feeling inside the group in all three formats – the motivation of the team is to just try and seize all the moments and win tournaments. When you do well in places like Australia you feel good as a team,” Rohit Sharma quoted to cricket.com.au.

“It’s either Perth or Brisbane. India has always played at Perth or Brisbane and this time around we’re at Perth. Those two conditions are obviously very challenging. Australia has bowlers who are very tall and extract those conditions, use them to their advantage. Indian batsman generally is not that tall. Obviously, it’s not that easy for us but, again, all the guys are quite determined to change things around this time.”

However, as Rohit Sharma said, the series victory against Australia will certainly do a world of good for the team. It would be interesting to see how the things would pan out in the upcoming series, which begins with the first of three T20Is at the Gabba in Brisbane on November 21st.
