Babar Azam will be leading his troops in the first of three T20I series against England starting today at Old Trafford. The series comes after the visiting Pakistan side lost the Test series 0-1 to England. However, Pakistan, who have are strong T20I side, will look to avenge the defeat in the upcoming series.
Former Pakistan captain turned commentator Ramiz Raja said that Pakistan needs to score big runs against England. He also insisted Babar Azam to become a match-winner and learn that from the likes of India captain Virat Kohli.
“This Pakistan batting line-up needs him to score massively. What he has to do is that he needs to become a match-winner now. He needs to learn that from Virat Kohli and he has got the potential as he is just 25 years of age,” Raja reckoned.
Azam has scored at an average of 45 in the longest format and over 50 in the limited-overs, which says a lot about his batting. Whereas Virat Kohli averages over 53 in Tests and nearly 60 in ODIs at present.
Pakistan will play T20I series against England which is slated to get underway from August 28 at Old Trafford. The remaining two matches will be played at the same venue on the 30th and September 1.
