Sarfaraz Ahmed feels the hard work of Babar Azam will soon put him in the same bracket of Steve Smith and Virat Kohli. However, as per him, he is already in the same league but Sarfaraz Ahmed Wants Babar Azam to be called as a fabulous batsman by every cricket fanatic.

With the Pakistan team beginning a new chapter under the guidance of head coach Misbah-ul-Haq, in the 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, Sarfaraz is expecting nothing else but another top show from Azam.

“Babar Azam can be in that category the of (Smith, Kohli, Root, and Williamson) way he is progressing. In truth, he even ranks among them now. If he can keep up his form, he’ll begin to be talked among that list by everyone very quickly,” the Pakistan captain was quoted as saying.

Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed urged the cricket fans to come out in large numbers. Especially, as the country gets ready to host a bilateral series after ten years. Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series which kicks-off from September 27 in Karachi.

”History will be made on Friday. When Karachi will host the first bilateral ODI series since January 2009. I request all local cricket fans to be part of history. So that they can tell the next generation that they were at the National Stadium when an international series was played,” ICC quoted Sarfaraz as saying.

Since the terror attacks in Lahore in 2009, Pakistan has been forced to play home matches away from the country. The last ODI series to take place in the nation was in 2015 when a Zimbabwe side visited in 2015.
