You can take a cricketer away from cricket but you cannot take cricket away from a cricketer and Yuvraj Singh showed it on Sunday as he showed support for the healthcare workers and others who are helping India in its fight against the coronavirus pandemic in his own way.

The entire nation, on Sunday, responded brilliantly to PM Narendra Modi’s call. In an attempt to contain the spread of coronavirus, which has affected over 400 in India so far, he  requested all the citizens to abide by the ‘Janata Curfew’ on March 22 from 7 am till 9 pm.

In the 30-minutes television address, the PM started by highlighting the gravity of the situation – that coronavirus disease Covid-19 has affected more people than the two World Wars. He then talked about what to do during the Janata Curfew and also asked people to thank the healthcare workers and others for their services at 5 PM by clapping or clanging utensils.

Indians from all the corners came forward to thank the healthcare workers and servicemen who are sticking their neck out amidst the coronavirus outbreak. Yuvraj Singh also joined the bandwagon and came out on his terrace with a wicket in his hand.

He was accompanied by his wife Hazel Keech. Hazel shot the video as she thanked the doctors and others for their services. Yuvraj Singh, on the other hand, was busy shadow batting and banging the stump on the railing of the terrace before he too showed his gratitude. Hazel later posted the clip on her Instagram account.

Ishant Sharma trolls Yuvraj Singh:

Yuvraj Singh coming out on his terrace with a stump left not only the fans but also his former teammate Ishant Sharma amused. The legendary batsman banging the stump on the railing was indeed hilarious and Ishant Sharma could not help but post a hilarious reply to the Instagram post.

“Paaji bande nahi kutne!! Taali marni hai (Roughly translated to: “Paaji, you need to clap, not beat guys”)” , Ishant wrote.
