The scintillating batting performance by Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan helped Bangladesh to sit on the driving seat comfortably. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe would be hoping for a spirited show on Tuesday.

During the course, Zimbabwe was successful in bagging the middle-order wickets for a cheap score. But, the off-spinner, Mehidy Hasan batted beautifully to give ample support to Mushfiqur.

The duo added 144-run partnership between them before calling the curtains on their first innings. Kyle Jarvis has been the pick of the bowlers for Zimbabwe, who registered a brilliant five-wicket-haul at the expense of 71 runs.

Zimbabwe lost Hamilton Masakadza early:

In reply, Zimbabwe has got 18 overs to defend themselves from losing any wickets. But, they lost their skipper Hamilton Masakadza for a cheap score. However, Brian Chary and the night-watchman, Donald Tripano batted sensibly to avoid the further hiccups.

It was once again Taijul Islam, who gave the breakthrough for Bangladesh. The play on day three will wide open the game status. It needs some scintillating performance from the visitors to make their case stronger.
