In reply, apart from Brendon Taylor, none of the Zimbabwe batsmen gave their helping hand to push the tally. They were rolled out for 304 on the board thus providing a huge lead for the home side.

Taking the lead, Bangladesh added 224 runs in the second innings to set a massive target on the board. Ironically, Zimbabwe managed to level Bangladesh’s second innings tally, but the lead remained, as the margin of the victory. Taijul Islam bagged a five-wicket haul in the first innings while Mehidy Hasan took that role in the second innings. Mehidy Hasan finished with eight-wicket hail while Taijul grabbed a seven-wicket haul in the match.
