Bangladesh Will Decide In Next Two Weeks Regarding Their Pakistan Tour

Following Sri Lanka, Bangladesh set to travel Pakistan in the upcoming season for a couple of Test matches and for limited-overs format. However, now, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is in dilemma regarding the future of the series. They asked a couple of weeks’ time to decide on the tour.

Speaking of the same, the Bangladesh Cricket Board chairman Akram Khan quoted that they will send the required officer to Pakistan for security purposes before taking the final decision of sending Bangladesh to your Pakistan for a bilateral series.

Meanwhile, the Indian coaches, who are working for Women Team has confirmed their unavailability for the Pakistan Tour. It means that Bangladesh will now hire a new staff member for the Pakistan Tour.

“You know our board president (Nazmul Hasan) has always said security is our first priority. We have that in mind. This is not just a decision of the board. We haven’t decided as to whether we will play in Dubai or Pakistan. We are discussing,’’ said Akram.

”’This decision will be finalized in a board meeting and the green signal has to come from both sides (board and government),’’ he concluded.

Recently, Sri Lanka toured Pakistan and exhibited their happiness for the smooth control of things in the country. They organized the match in a comfortable manner for the players, who toured Pakistan for a limited-overs stint. Now, it will be interesting to see whether BCB will take any cue from Sri Lanka’s tour to Pakistan.

The Men team is scheduled to play two Tests and three T20Is in February 2020, while the females are slated to contest two ODIs and three T20Is later in October. BCB recently said it would send a security inspection delegation to Pakistan to assess the scenario.
