There have been just eight instances in the history of the IPL where a batsman has struck a last-ball six to seal a run-chase for his side. And, out of those eight instances, the current Mumbai Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma is the only cricketer who has done it on three different occasions- once for Deccan Chargers [in 2009] and twice for his current franchise [2011 & 2012].

Rohit first achieved the feat against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2009, where he smoked for Mashrafe Mortaza for a monstrous six to seal a thrilling win for his side Deccan Chargers. In 2011 and 2012, Murali Karthik [PWI] and Dan Christain [Deccan Chargers] were on the receiving end of the Hitman’s onslaught.

Overall, Rohit has faced the last ball of the 20th over on 13 occasions in the IPL, in which he has deposited the ball over the boundary rope on four instances.
