Well, it wasn’t a great day at the office for Ben Cutting. He misjudged a skier of Marcus Harris in the initial phase of the match and took a hit on the face. The incident took place in the 26th match of the ongoing tournament (BBL 2018-19). However, thankfully, Ben Cutting was safe, who returned to the action after medication.

Though Cutting tried to hold on to the catch even after taking the blow, umpires deemed it not out, as it wasn’t there in the hands for a minimum time. However, the blow looked quite scary, as Ben Cutting was bleeding during the incident.

Speaking of the catch, Marcus Harris, who was the batsman quoted ” He looked pretty rattled, so hopefully he is ok,” Harris said of Cutting. He had a bit of claret coming out of him the poor fella.”

After returning back to the field, Waugh quoted saying ” You can’t even see where he got hit,” Waugh said. They have done a great job stitching him up.”

As it happened:

Melbourne Renegades outsmarted Brisbane Heat in a one-sided game at Brisbane. Going into the details, Initially, it was Melbourne Renegades, who won the toss and asked Brisbane Heat to bat first. Unlike to them, Brendon McCullum and Max Byrant started things pretty slowly. Both the batsmen played run-a-ball knocks to surprise the fans.

The middle-order has once again failed to deliver for Brisbane. It was once again Ben Cutting, who scored 20 runs off 10 balls to push Brisbane Heat to a moderate tally of 144 runs on the board. Usman Khan Shenwari picked up 3 wickets while Cameron Boyce bagged a couple of wickets

In reply, Harvey once again failed to knock runs while Marcus Harris, who just returned from Test cricket scored 28. Both walked back on a quick succession to see scorecard read 39/2.

Perhaps, Brisbane thought it was the time to rattle the defence of Melbourne but Sam Harper and Tom Cooper balanced the ship. The duo went on to add an unbeaten 106-run partnership for the third wicket to bag those two crucial points for the team.
