BCCI Pays Previous Year Salaries to Junior Team Coaches, Rahul Dravid & Paras Mhambrey

BCCI has cleared the payments of India A and U19 coaches, Rahul Dravid and Paras Mhambrey. Dravid is currently the Head Coach of India A and U19 team while Mhambrey is the bowling coach of the side.

Dravid has been paid a huge amount of Rs 2,43,00,000 for a period of six months, from July 1 to December 31, 2017.

This means Dravid is currently earning around Rs 5 Crore, as the salary of the second string and junior side of Indian cricket team.

He took up the role on a permanent basis last year after quitting his job at Delhi Daredevils, as his association with the IPL franchise resulted in the issue of Conflict of Interest. He had to give up his job at IPL to take up the role of the BCCI team.

Dravid will also be getting an amount of Rs 50 Lakh soon for coaching this side to a title victory.

After winning the junior World Cup in New Zealand, BCCI announced a cash prize of  Rs 50 Lakh for Dravid, Rs 30 Lakh for players of India U19 team while Rs 20 Lakh were rewarded to the other members of the support staff of the junior side.

Paras Mhambrey

Talking of Mhambrey, the bowling coach of India A and U19 have been paid an amount of Rs 27,00,000 from August to November. The amount for this four months shows that Mhambrey is earning a salary of around Rs 80-90 Lakh/year.

Just like Dravid, he also had to leave his job at IPL. He was the bowling of Mumbai Indians but had to let go that to join the India A and U19 coaching staff.

He will soon be getting an amount of Rs 20 Lakh by BCCI as a reward for being part of the coaching staff that won the junior World Cup.
