BCCI Yet Again Ignores Suresh Raina, Twitterati Disappointed

Well, as ever, the debates followed after BCCI announcing the squads for an upcoming couple of limited overs series. The Indian National Cricket Team will be locking horns against Australia and New Zealand in shorter formats. Meanwhile, the netizens weren’t impressed with the selection, as they felt Suresh Raina should have included.

Suresh Raina was ignored from the team after failing to make an impact on the England tour. In fact, it was the tour where quite a few batsmen were failed, however, they ignored only Suresh Raina for the Asia Cup 2018.

Moreover, he failed to make a cut when Windies visited India to lock horns across the formats. During the course, Suresh Raina played quite a few domestic tournaments to make things happen for him. However, selectors aren’t impressed with him.

Kedar Jadhav receives call-up ahead of Suresh Raina:

Well, selectors might have considered Suresh Raina as the backup for the Kedar Jadhav. Whenever Kedar was injured, Suresh Raina was called up to take his role. Perhaps, Suresh Raina is on the standby list in shorter formats.

Meanwhile, coming to the squad, India made surprise inclusion of Dinesh Karthik in the side by leaving out Rishabh Pant. Further, they also left out Manish Pandey and Shreyas Iyer from the side and retained KL Rahul services.

Currently, India is engaged in a Test series against Australia and will play three ODIs against them starting on January 12. The first ODI will be held at the SCG. The second ODI will be held on January 15 at Adelaide Oval which will be followed by the third and final ODI at MCG on January 18.

This will be followed by a limited-overs commitment with New Zealand, starting with five ODIs from January 23. The three T20 Internationals against Kiwis is lined up from February 6.

Suresh Raina hasn’t got as many chances as everyone else to prove himself. Neither in T20I nor in ODIs.

He has been the SCAPEGOAT of the Indian Team.
