Ben Stokes reveals the first thing he did on arriving home from Sri Lanka

England all-rounder Ben Stokes had a memorable time with his band of boys in Sri Lanka recently. The visitors sealed the Test series 3-0 and it was a historic achievement to mention the least. The former deputy scored a couple of fifties and scalped five wickets in the series. The English side were an dominant force and hardly gave it away to the Sri Lankan team.

Ben Stokes got down to business

On reaching home, Stoke got down to business and decorated the Christmas tree with his wife and kids. He was clearly very excited on seeing the end result but the same can’t be said about his wife Clarey Stokes. She wasn’t much impressed with Stokes’ decoration and took matters into her own hands. He posted two pictures on Instagram and shared the story with his followers. In the first image, the tree decorated by Stokes and family can be seen while the next one totally belonged to his wife.

Stokes not impressed

Stokes wasn’t particularly happy about the fact that he worked extremely hard on getting everything ready but in 4 hours time his wife took down the entire work. On a serious note, this wasn’t the only thing that pissed off the cricketer. Recently, former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar took a shot at the Englishman by alleging him of hogging the spotlight as he felt the likes of Moeen Ali and Rashid Khan weren’t given enough credit.

Manjrekar tweeted, “So you have these hardworking chefs who have made a great dish. Someone comes and puts a little garnish on top and he gets all the credit. Moeen, Leach, Foakes are those poor chefs and Stokes the one with the garnish.” Stokes was clearly not happy and he replied back. He tweeted- “We don’t care about personal credit,and garnish is pointless on all food anyways,we care about winning,it’s a team sport and we won as a team #3-0 Cheers Sanjay ?”.

Overall, he won’t be feeling gutted considering the job has been done well. Also, there was no response from Manjrekar on the same there onwards.
