The biopic on the mercurial leg-spinner Pravin Tambe is one of the most talked-about things, given the rise of him thanks to the Indian Premier League. His career and life is great inspiration to all those who think age is something of a barrier to starting new things and shows that everybody’s time comes to shine, even if it comes late in life.
In the year 2012, Pravin Tambe made history after he was picked by the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) the next season and later was also named in the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team as well in 2012. The interesting thing was that Tambe had only played club cricket until then.
Also, the interesting fact was that Tambe was 41 years old at that time and became one of the oldest cricketers to play in the cash-rich T20 league.
Tambe, a leg-spinner, was a prolific name at the Mumbai maidans and played a lot of Dr. HD Kanga Memorial Cricket League. He had not made his FC debut when Rajasthan Royals bought him for the IPL 2013, overlooking the fact that was over 40 years old.
Shreyas Talpade Reveals The Trailer For Pravin Tambe Biopic Will Be Released On March 9
Indian Express had reported that known Marathi and Hindi movie actor Shreyas Talpade will be played the titular role of Pravin Tambe in his biopic which has been named ‘Kaun Hai Tambe?’. The movie will also feature veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi.
The film is directed by Jayprad Desai and written by Kiran Yadnyopavit. It is bankrolled by Neeraj Pandey, Shital Bhatia, and Sudip Tewari and holds the banners of Fox Star Studios, Friday Filmworks, and Bootroom Sports Production.
Talpade and Pravin Tambe shared the first-look teaser of the biopic, which will be streamed online on Disney+HotStar. The first-look poster of the movie shows notable cricketers of the Indian Cricket Team including MS Dhoni, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, and Yuvraj Singh.
Along with these, the poster also features Shreyas Talpade, who is going to play the role of Pravin Tambe in the film. Apart from that, the photo of the cricketers also mentions their respective ages at the time of cricketing debut.

The much-awaited biopic on Pravin Tambe is expected to release on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar on April 1, 2022. Along with Hindi, the film will be released in Tamil and Telugu languages. The trailer of this much-hyped sports drama will be out on Wednesday, 9th March 2022 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
