BJP president Amit Shah, Sourav Ganguly to lose their jobs as BCCI office bearers?

In the latest development, with the cooling off period and tenure, it is expected to witness some changes in the cricketing administration procedure of the Indian Board BCCI.

The Committee of Administrators (CoA), is overseeing the activities of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). As Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) President Sourav Ganguly is expected to lose his job.

The all-important decision was taken during the recently held meeting in Mumbai on February 27. The two-member panel of CoA has already filed the report before the apex body.

Earlier the verdict of the apex body was scheduled for February 23 which was later on postponed. The trust deficit between CoA and high-level office bearers has worsened.

According to the Hindustan Times, the CoA is will file the status report before the apex court on March 5. It has also been stated that the acting office-bearers are bound to be removed. The fifth status report was framed in August 2017.

On the other side, the chief of the CoA Vinod Rai put forward the decision. The top brass went on to complete the three-year period in the office.

The top brass of the Board is concurrently facing the heat. Moreover, the interim president of BCCI, CK Khanna alongside secretary and treasurer Anirudh Chaudhary could be removed from their respective posts.

Moreover, the under-fire top brasses included Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah.

Apart from the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) president, Amit his son Jay Shah is also expected to be sacked as the cricket administrator. The duo of father and son have completed the cumulative three-year period respectively.

Jay is serving as the honorary secretary for the GCA. The latest move could witness the ouster of the principal office bearers for the Board. Earlier, the apex body appointed a committee to prepare the status report.

Pertinently, the trio is working under the tutelage of the BCCI for distinct state associations.

Moreover, the office bearers set to be removed from the state cricket associations. The office bearers have failed to implement the Lodha Panel reforms.

Vidarbha, Maharashtra, and Tripura are the associations which have introduced the recommendations of the Lodha Panel.

In September 2015, Ganguly joined the office. In his written consent he revealed the CAB failed to put Lodha recommendations into the practice owing to the limitations.

Until February 13, as many as 13 State Cricket Associations under the ambit of BCCI expressed interest to implement the reforms.
