Bollywood Actress Zarine Khan Reveals Her Favourite Cricketer

India has been graced by several world class batsman but it seems none of them managed to leave their mark on Bollywood actress Zarine Khan as she has revealed her favourite cricketer is not any Indian but former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi.

The actress, who is a celebrity ambassador of the team Pakhtoons in the upcoming 10-overs-per-side T10 Cricket League, said that she has a huge crush on the hard-hitting allrounder before stating that it was one of the main reasons she is supporting the franchise.

“I have been a fan of Afridi from the very first day he had played his match, I think he was 16 and scored 100 runs on 32 or 35 balls. I was an admirer of his hair and his looks,” she said.

“When (Pakhtoons franchise owner Habib Khan) came to me and told about this, I said ‘Please, let me play in this format’,” she added.

Zarine also said that she was born in India but belongs to a Pakhtoon family.

T10 Cricket League

Meanwhile, the latest format of the game, where each team will get only 10 overs, will be staged in United Arab Emirates with the likes of the Shahid Afridi, Virender Sehwag, Kumar Sangakkara and Eoin Morgan set to feature in it. The four-day tournament, scheduled to be played from December 21 to 24, will see six teams, Maratha Arabians, Punjabi Legends, Bangla Tigers, Keralites King, Colombo Lions and Pakhtoons fighting it out for the title.
