BPL 2019: Sandeep Lamichhane to Play for Sylhet Sixers

So, yet another feather set to be held in Sandeep Lamichhane hat. The teenage star has grown in his game from strength to strength to bag the deals across the world in the franchise cricket. Just after signing for the Big Bash League, he once again penned for Sylhet Sixers in the upcoming edition of BPL 2019.

Earlier, Sandeep Lamichhane was bagged by Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League 2018, which gave him enough limelight to get noticed. Soon, across the world, franchises are after him to bag his services for their team.

However, he is the first cricketer from Nepal to play in any franchise cricket game. His heroics came to the fore when he represented Nepal in the U19 ICC World Cup then tried his heart out for Nepal in ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2018.

Sandeep Lamichchane turns up for BBL before playing for Sylhet Sixers:

Recently, he was signed by Melbourne Stars to play for them in the first half of the tournament. After the conclusion, he will join Bangladesh Premier League to roll his arm for Sylhet Sixers.

“I first saw Sandeep bowl for Nepal in the Asian U19 Championships in Malaysia and was immediately impressed by both his skill as a wrist spinner and also his energy,” Melbourne Stars’ Woodhill quoted on his signing.

“Lamichhane had a successful IPL debut for Delhi and bowled well in the CPL. We have high expectations that he will light up the BBL and become a star of the tournament,” he added to his lines.

However, it would be interesting to see how Sandeep Lamichhane performs in the upcoming BBL and BPL seasons. Of late, the pitches in Australia helping spinners, which might help in youngster’s favour.

On the other hand, Bangladesh pitches are always helpful to the spinners. Hopefully, Sandeep makes the most of it and becomes a match-winner for Sylhet Sixers in BPL 2019.
