CoA Members Are In Different Opinions Over Punishment On Hardik Pandya And KL Rahul

Well, the troubles are continuing to stretch to Hardik Pandya. The flamboyant all-rounder set to face harsh punishment from the respective Indian Cricket Board for his statements in the Koffee With Karan Talk show. Alongside Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul was also on the talk show, who might also carry the punishment.

Recently, the CoA Chief Vinod Rai suggested a couple of ODI bans for the youngsters. However, the final call was with Diana Edulji, who sought some legal advice. Meanwhile, in the latest development, they once again proposed to cut down ban from 2 games to one. However, it didn’t do well with the rest of the CoA members.

The matter that was written by Vinod Rai to Diana Edulji read whether the two individuals are eligible for the punishment. Further, he went on to add asking Edulji whether she had an idea of banning the players for their mistakes.

”The apology has obviously been drafted by the agency. Doesn’t appear sincere. I am inclined to suggest a penalty. But since I have not seen the clip, maybe Diana would like to suggest some penalty. There should be a penalty? What do you feel? Could be different for both players depending upon what they have said in the show,” Vinod Rai wrote to Diana Edulji.

The suspension must happen quickly – Amitabh Choudhary

Meanwhile, Edulji replied that Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul should be punished strictly, as the comments on women are not in great taste. Further, she believes that the board should not encourage such poor behaviour. The BCCI secretary Amitabh Choudary also isn’t impressed with those comments.

”Board secretary Amitabh Choudhary says: “Suspension must happen immediately”. BCCI acting president CK Khanna wrote: “Comments are crass and highly irresponsible. I suggest strict action.”

All in all, it is going to be a tough few days for Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul. As Hardik Pandya said in his apology, he was carried away in the show and will take quality time to regain the love from the Indian people.
