New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson has highlighted the difference between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as captains of a team. Virat Kohli is currently the captain of the Indian National Cricket Team in all the three formats in international cricket. Whereas, Rohit Sharma is the vice-captain of the team.

However, Rohit has a fair share of experience in leading a team as the Mumbaikar has been captaining the Mumbai Indians franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since 2013. Virat Kohli, on the other hand, is the captain of another decorated franchise of the tournament, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson, who has played under Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, has now highlighted the difference between both of them.

Corey Anderson Highlights The Difference Between Rohit And Kohli As Captains

“Both are very good captains. Sharma is probably a bit laid-back in that role. He is passionate, wants to win, but keeps it under wraps a little bit more. Kohli wears his heart on his sleeve and shows a lot of emotion. But they both take charge of the team. They are natural-born leaders,” said Corey.

“They are good tacticians; they understand the game and know how to win. That’s why India has been so successful,” Corey added.

“India have numerous players who have captained IPL teams. You know that if someone drops out be it injury or anything they have replacements,” he further said.

Uncertainty Looms Large Over IPL 2020 Future Amid COVID-19 Outbreak

With the coronavirus outbreak bringing the world to a standstill, the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was postponed from March 29 to April 15. India is currently on a 21-day lockdown to combat the deadly virus.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is now looking at the October-November window for the IPL. But the move can be possible only if the ICC decides to postpone the men’s T20 World Cup that is to be held later in the year, according to some sources in the board.

On Friday, latest reports suggested that the BCCI is probing into the July window to conduct the IPL and it could take place behind closed doors.

However, all hopes have once again vanished as the BCCI on Thursday suspended the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 indefinitely in the light of the coronavirus pandemic.
