South African players left for Dubai on Tuesday, after the ODI series between India and the Proteas was called off due to fear of coronavirus. The pandemic has put an abrupt halt on all sporting activities across the globe.

Team India was due to play three-match ODI series with South Africa, although the spread of coronavirus has prompted cricketing fraternity to take appropriate action.

The first ODI between the two countries was washed out and not even a single delivery was bowled in Dharamsala.

Now, though, the South African players have left India, after having spent a day in Kolkata where the third ODI was scheduled to take place. The Proteas squad and support staff were in Lucknow before, and they chose to take off from Kolkata over Delhi, as there hasn’t been a single positive case of coronavirus in the City of Joy.
