Jasprit Bumrah who was ruled out of India’s Test series against South Africa owing to a back stress facture is now trying his best to get back to complete fitness. He even gave fans a positive update regarding his training regime by uploading a picture from the gym. The paceman has been a substantial bowler for the Indian national cricket team and is currently ranked No.1 in ODIs and No.5 in Tests. Be it home or away venue, the world-class bowler is sprinkling stardust all over the places.

While batsmen of the modern era are struggling to score runs against him on the pitch, the former Pakistan cricketer Abdul Razzaq stated that he would not have had any problems in tackling Jasprit Bumrah if he had still been active now. He said that he could have easily dominated and attacked him. Speaking to Cricket Pakistan, Razzaq stated that there were several better bowlers than Bumrah during his playing days.

“After having faced world-class bowlers in my time, I would have had no problem against a bowler like Bumrah. The pressure would have been on him. I have played against great bowlers like Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram, so Bumrah is a baby bowler in front of me and I could have easily dominated and attacked him,” he said.

Speaking about Bumrah, Razzaq added that he has improved his bowling variations. “Bumrah is doing very well and has improved a lot. He has an awkward action and hits the seam perfectly which is why he is effective.”

Talking about Razzaq’s latest development, he said that he has approached the Pakistan Cricket Board, expressing his interest for a new coaching role with the country’s U-19 team but his proposal has been rejected the board for now.
