ToggleOnce again, Cricket Australia has come up with a unique thought to get the better of the game. After appointing two vice-captains in the recent past in the national team, now, they decided to try out two captains in a single match.
They would like to Test the result of it in a practice game against Sri Lanka, who will be visiting the country for a short tour. Ahead of the 3-match T20I series against Australia, Sri Lanka will play a practice game against Australia’s Prime Minister XI at Manuka Oval.

A Break from the tradition – Greg Chappell
The game will witness two captains for Australia as per BdCrictime. They announced Danial Christian and Peter Siddle as the co-captain of the team. However, it is yet to know how individuals will approach the game. The board also kept things secret for now.
Meanwhile, the match will also witness the Australian Prime Minister making his presence during the toss despite the match being an exhibition event. The former Australian Greg Chappell revealed that they are yet to discuss regarding the on-field duties of the co-captains.
“This is the first instance of the Prime Minister’s XI nominating two captains. It is a break from the tradition and both will be known as co-captains. No further decisions have been made regarding on-field duties”, he further added.
However, Greg Chappell, the former Australian cricketer, who has recently announced his retirement from the selector’s duty informs, “The Prime Minister (Scott Morrison) will do the toss. It (the PM going for a toss) does not matter. It’s an exhibition match”.
