When an individual does not have a blue tick beside his name of social media, he has the luxury of writing whatever he or she wants on the public platform. But the moment, one gets that blue tick or become an influential figure, he has the added responsibility of posting messages which do not hurt anyone’s sentiments.

Even without a blue tick, one should refrain from making derogatory comments on social media. But then again, very few care about what they post on social media platforms like Twitter until and unless someone call them out or they become popular.

Well, a number of cricketers have also faced this situation. In the past, several cricketers faced the heat for their old tweets. So through this article, we are taking a look at some of the cricketers who posted derogatory messages for legendary India cricketer MS Dhoni before making it big in the game:

3. Matt Parkinson:

England spinner Matt Parkinson made his international debut in February this year during the ODI series in South Africa. It was a forgettable debut as he failed to get any wicket. But more than his performance, he was slammed by the Indian fans for his old tweets in which he had targeted a number of Indian players including MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.

In no time, Matt Parkinson managed to delete some of the tweets on Kohli and Dhoni but the damage was already done. The fans took screenshots of those tweets and posted on the social media platform, leaving Parkinson red-faced. In some of those tweets, Parkison has termed Kohli as ‘arrogant’ and even termed Dhoni as ‘disgrace’. He had also taken a shot at India allrounder Ravindra Jadeja in a different tweet.

While he made his international debut last year for England, the Barbados-born pacer first gained attention after impressing in the Big Bash League and the Indian Premier League. There is absolutely little denying that the World Cup-winner has fans across the world.

However, before making it big in the game, Jofra Archer was posting all types of derogatory tweets for Team India and MS Dhoni. Before the England star could delete those old tweets, the fans took screenshots of them and posted the pictures on social media.

Having made his first-class debut in 2009, Mumbai veteran Aditya Tare has not played international cricket so far. However, he is well-known in the Indian cricket circle thanks to the IPL as well as his exploits in domestic cricket.
