The wedding ceremonies which kick-started with mere speculations in the first week of December finally concluded on Tuesday (December 26) with Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma throwing their second wedding reception for their colleagues from the cricket and Bollywood this evening at St Regis’ Astor Ballroom in Mumbai’s Lower Parel.

The couple had kept the outside world in the dark as they were getting married at the picturesque Borgo Finocchieto in Tuscany, Italy on December 11. They shared the news only after getting married, taking to Twitter to share separate pictures of their wedding with the same caption that read:

“Today we have promised each other to be bound in love for ever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you.This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.”

Ever since the news was confirmed, the internet has been flooded with pictures of the newlyweds. The couple then hosted their first wedding reception in New Delhi on December 21 for their relatives, and the wedding functions and parties finally came to an end on Tuesday in Mumbai.

It was a star-studded function with the best of both the worlds- cricket and Bollywood- coming and gracing the lavish reception. Among cricketers who attended the function included the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Umesh Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and MS Dhoni. From Bollywood, the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Boman Irani, Aditya Roy Kapur, Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman and other eminent personalities attended the function.
