Daniel Vettori is one of the finest cricketers to have played for New Zealand. The legendary cricketer retired from the game after playing in the final of the 2015 World Cup. He bowed out of the game after representing the Black Caps in  113 Test matches, 295 one-day internationals and 34 T20Is.

Daniel Vettori became New Zealand’s youngest-ever Test player when he made his debut against England in February 1997 at the age of 18. He went on to finish his career with an impressive 361 wickets in the format. The left-arm spinner is second in the country’s all-time list behind Sir Richard Hadlee (431).

Daniel Vettori is only one of three men to have scored 4,000 Test runs and taken 300 Test wickets, along with Sir Ian Botham and Kapil Dev. In ODIs, he picked up 297 wickets which is a New Zealand record.  The Auckland-born spinner, who captained New Zealand in all three formats, also holds the record for the most Test (112) and ODI (291) appearances for New Zealand.

After the end of his playing career, Vettori also coached Royal Challengers Bangalore although without much success. And recently, he opened up about his likes, dislikes and other secrets of his career. Speaking to ESPNCricinfo, Daniel Vettori answered 25 questions and one can say that his answers were interesting.

One of the questions was the toughest batsmen he bowled to. In reply, the former New Zealand skipper named Rahul Dravid. When asked about the batsmen he was scared to bowl to, he went for Adam Gilchrist. Daniel Vettori also revealed his love for his favourite football club Liverpool as well as his favourite Indian food and fans. Vettori also said that he would have loved to have Virat Kohli in his team.
