Danielle Wyatt is perhaps the most famous overseas women cricketer in India. The England star first grabbed the limelight in this cricket-obsessed nation when she sensationally gave India superstar Virat Kohli a marriage proposal in 2014 after the right-handed batsman’s exploits in the ICC T20 World Cup. Impressed with Kohli’s batting, Danielle Wyatt straightaway took to Twitter and asked him whether he would marry her.
Since then, she has developed a huge fan following in India. Time and again, she posts tweets related to Kohli. But it looks like she not only the India skipper but other Indian cricketers too. Danielle Wyatt recently left the fans in splits after brutally trolling Yuzvendra Chahal on Instagram. It all started when Chahal himself took to Instagram to post a picture of himself batting in the nets.
Ahead of the first T20I against West Indies in Hyderabad, Chahal made it clear that he is taking his batting seriously.
“Enjoying my day out in the nets ?,” wrote Chahal.
And it was enough for Danielle Wyatt to have a laugh at the expense of Chahal. She hilariously trolled Chahal by taking a dig at his batting and replying:
Danielle Wyatt, in fact, was not the only one who tried to pull Chahal’s legs. Chahal’s Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Mandeep Singh as well as India fielding coach R Sridhar trolled him too for his batting.
All eyes on T20I opener:
Yuzvendra Chahal, meanwhile, will be looking to team up with Kuldeep Yadav once again in T20Is when India take on West Indies on Friday. The two have not played together since the end of World Cup in July as India tried out different bowlers. But the experiments have seemingly come to an end now as India have named a strong squad for the series while keeping in mind next year’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
