Danny Morrison, former New Zealand pacer-turned commentator, asked the million-dollar question to Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni regarding his IPL future on Sunday.

Ever since CSK got knocked out of the competition, there has been a lot of speculations among fans and pundits as to whether this is the last season where we are seeing MS Dhoni don the yellow jersey. Morrison asked Dhoni at the toss if it was his last game in yellow.

”Could this be your last game in yellow?” Danny Morrison asked.

MS Dhoni responded by saying: “Definitely not.” and it was enough to light up social media as ‘Definitely not’ began to trend on every platform.

Speaking about the question that has now become viral in the cricketing folklore, Danny Morrison said that it was an obvious one to ask, considering the fact that this was the last time that CSK would play a game this season.

”It was an obvious question. It’s the it end of the road of CSK this season and I think like a lot of cricket fans globally wanted to know. MSD, have you got another season in you?” Danny Morrison told Star Sports.

”It’s always nice to try and get a smile from dear old MSD at the toss”- Danny Morrison

Danny Morrison further added that the reason behind MS Dhoni continuing to feature in the IPL might be the fact that the next season is just a few months away.

”The gift of what’s going on amid all the sadness around the globe due to Covid is that the next IPL is scheduled to be played in next April or end of March, the normal window. So it’s only 6 months away. So it’s allowed MSD in a way ‘I am fit enough, hungry enough’. Also, a lot of chat about the passing on the mantle and looking after the CSK legacy to go on, and he has been a huge part of it,” Morrison said.

“So it’s pleasing. It’s always nice to try and get a smile from dear old MSD at the toss.” he added.

Meanwhile, CSK have ended their IPL 2020 campaign on a high after Ruturaj Gaikwad’s third consecutive half-century guided them to a nine-wicket win over KXIP during their run-chase of 153.
