David Warner Brutally Trolls Rashid Khan On His Birthday

Afghanistan star Rashid Khan, on Friday, turned 21 and as expected wishes poured in from all corners. Rashid Khan has become the flag-bearer of Afghanistan cricket due to his unbelievable exploits with the ball. He has impressed not only in international cricket but also in franchise cricket across the globe.

Rashid made his T20 and ODI debut in October 2015 against Bangladesh and has gone from strength to strength since then. At present, he has played more than hundred matches across both formats for Afghanistan. He has also played in all three of Afghanistan’s Test matches, starring in their two wins against Ireland and Bangladesh, respectively.

As far as his wicket tally is concerned, he has 20 wickets in Test cricket, 131 ODI wickets and 79 T20I wickets. Earlier this year in April, he was named the T20I captain of the side. Just a couple of months later after Afghanistan’s woeful outing in the World Cup, he was named captain across formats.

On his Test captaincy, he led Afghanistan to a thumping 224-run win over Bangladesh. The leg-spinner starred with the ball, picking up fifers in both the innings in addition to scoring a fifty in the first. There is little denying that Rashid Khan has become one of the most popular cricketers in the world at the moment.

Thus on his special day, the cricketing fraternity did not waste much time in wishing him a happy birthday. However, it was the message from Rashid’s IPL teammate David Warner that stole the show. Warner had a hilarious message for his Sunrisers Hyderabad teammate who really looks much older than his age.

Taking a hilarious dig at Rashid Khan, Warner wrote on his Instagram story: “Happy 25th birthday @rashid.khan19”

Both Warner and Rashid will turn up for the Sunrisers in the next year’s IPL too. Both the players have been the pillars of the team in recent seasons.
